Mix & Match Joyful Images and Sayings Ephemera

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, November 11, 2024

Hello Crafting Friends!  It's been a long time since I have blogged!  Summer kept me so busy and frankly, I've been in a bit of a funk.  I so miss my mom and her sweet smile!  I got involved in my quilting this year after taking a very long hiatus.  I spent a lot of days each week this summer enhancing my quilting skills by learning English Paper piecing, Wool embroidery and now crayon colored embroidery.  I've missed sharing with you what I've been making in my stamping studio.  So I'm back making lots of Holiday cards!

I went through another thumb surgery on 10/30 due to a reoccurrence of a tumor of the tendon sheath.  I'm crossing all my fingers that this darn thing doesn't come back!  If you had a chance to catch my Facebook Live unboxing of my November Online Exclusives purchases, you will see the big bandage - lol!

Last week's Facebook Live, I shared making some easy Christmas cards using the Mix & Match Joyful Images Ephemera Pack, the Joyful Sayings Ephemera Pack and the Gold Dipped Mix & Match Cards & Envelopes.

Another Thoughtful Journey Sympathy Card

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, July 02, 2024

Happy 4th of July!  What the heck happened to June?  We are visiting friends in beautiful Polson, Montana for the holiday.  I so wished that we would have purchased land in this beautiful little town by Flathead Lake.  It's rather cool here compared to Frederick, Colorado - twenty degrees cooler!  I'm loving the cool temperatures but today is not a great day to go hang out at the lake for unfortunately.  We are going to head up to Glacier National Park tomorrow to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this national park that was established in 1910.

Another month has flown by where I had best laid plans for blogging and streaming, but you know - when a day of fun with a crafting friend presents itself you have to jump in and enjoy the day!  I so enjoy crafting with my bestie, Yvonne and Brittany (my future daughter-in-law) spent time last week making festive t-shirts and sweatshirts for all of us to bring with us on our trip to Montana.  I've enjoyed spending time learning how to use my Cricut machine for other than titles for scrapbook pages - lol!  Michelle Nemnich will be so proud of me!  She is my Cricut hero!

I thought I would share another lovely card I created for my recent Thoughtful Journey card class that I held last Thursday.  The Thoughtful Journey 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper is so inspirational for creating lovely cards to send to loved ones when they are hurting from the loss of someone.

Thoughtful Journey Sympathy Card

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, June 14, 2024

Hello Crafters - Happy Saturday!  Summer is here - and it's hot!  Lol!  Heat is not my friend - swollen ankles, frizzy hair, and lethargy...  I so enjoy summer morning's and late evening breezes.  I love gardening and watching the color transform.  I just don't like the heat.  I love spring and I love fall.  The temperature is so much more enjoyable for me.  What do you like best about summer?

Friday's Facebook Live showcased the lovely Thoughtful Journey 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.  This paper incorporates so many serene watercolor like scenes that creates lovely cards for any occasion.  Friday's card is a sympathy/thinking of you card.

Country Woods Suite Collection Slimline Card

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, June 07, 2024

Happy Saturday!  Summer is heating up here in Frederick - it's been in the 90's this week.  But we still have snowcaps on the mountains!  Hubby tells me that rivers are running fast and high this week as the snow is melting fast.

It's been a long time since I have posted a blog posting - since April - what?  April and May were such a blur.  Scrapbooking, Stamp & Scrapbooking Expo, and Castle Rock Quilt Show - whew!  This coming week I'm joining 25 quilters on a bus trip to seven Northern Colorado Quilt shops for a portion of the NoCo Quilt Shop Hop.  I'm excited to see quilt shops that aren't any where close to my home - Julesberg, Holyoke, Fort Morgan are the furthest ones.

What have you been up to this summer so far?  We have been planning a 4th of July trip to Polson, Montana.  Sean, Brittany and Baylen will be spending the week with us visiting our longtime friends and their adult children.  We always look forward to these road trips to spend time on the lake, enjoying friendship and watching fireworks!

Friday's Facebook Live (my 1st in a long time) showcased the rustic Country Woods Suite Collection with the creation of a Slimline Card!  I don't make Slimline cards very often, however, they are the best card to create when you need a big open space to fill with images/die cuts.
