Elegant Border Dies Cards

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, March 30, 2023

Wow - yesterday was quite the day of Stampin' Up! news!  I was so excited about Stampin' Up!'s new color refresh, retiring products lists and the sneak peek at the 2023 - 2024 Annual Catalog, I got behind on posting my blog after my Facebook Live.  I spent most of today marking up my 2022 - 2023 Annual and 2023 January - April Mini Catalogs for all the retiring products.  I then spent time this evening, looking at every gorgeous page of the new catalog and prepped my wish list so I can get my order in for my new 2023 - 2024 Annual Catalog on Tuesday, 4/4!

Yesterday's Facebook Live was sort of a mystery.  I wasn't feeling great as I have been battling a cold most of the week.  I used the blank cards that I shared in the previous week's Facebook Live to showcase the Elegant Border Dies.  I pulled together some products around 10am yesterday and decided I could pull through.

I made 3 cards - one Sweet Sorbet, one Pacific Point (retiring color), and one Gorgeous Grape.  For the Sweet Sorbet card, I used the Friendly Gnomes Photopolymer Stamp Set, Gnomes Dies, Layering Circles Dies, Conversation Bubble Bundle, Tea Boutique 6" x 6" DSP  and 2021 - 2023 In Color Opal Rounds - all of which will be retiring on May 1st - heavy sigh.  I'm glad that I had a chance to paly with all before they retire!  I finished the card up last night by stamping the "There is Gnome-One better than you" inside and plan to give to my hubby.

The Pacific Point card showcased the Hues of Happiness 12" x 12" DSP, Happiness Abounds Bundle and Opal Rounds - again all will be retiring on May 1st.  I'm really sad about Pacific Point retiring as I think it's such a pretty, bright blue.  But then I get excited all over again about the new colors coming!  This was a really simple card as the paper and the dies did all the work!

The Gorgeous Grape card used the same Hues of Happiness DSP, Happiness Abounds Bundle and the Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems - yes, those are retiring as well!  I loved playing with the beautiful flower papers and coordinating dies and a little bit of fussy cutting to make a stunning card if I say so myself.  And all of this was thrown together at the last minute!

Click here to catch the replay of the Facebook Live video.  Sadly, I ran into technical issues about 10 minutes into my live, my desktop software crapped out so there is 6 minutes of black screen.  If you catch the replay - please just fast forward to around 6 minutes and then it picks up from there.  Last week - I was issue free - oh well!  I feel like it's always some hurdle - good thing I'm flexible!  LOL!

Check out the new/returning Stampin' Up Colors coming on May 2nd by watching the video below.

I am really excited about the new colors, even more so as I had time to see them used in projects within the new catalog!

And here it is - the cover to the new 2023 - 2024 Annual Catalog.  I can't wait to get my copy in the mail.  I don't mind looking online at the catalog, but I love my actual catalog to ohh and ahh over - dog ear - tag pages - lol!

My catalog order has gone in for Stampin' Up! to ship my customers that ordered $50 or more with me over the last 6 months their new catalogs.

If you haven't yet ordered from me and would like a catalog, click here to fill out a catalog request form.  I will ship you your catalog for $7 (to cover shipping), and send you a coupon for $7 off your 1st order of $35 from the new catalog!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's Facebook Live projects and will give the Elegant Border Dies a go!  They really do bring your cards that special elegance!  Have a great rest of your week and...

KEEP ON CRAFTING!
