Happy Friday!  I heard birds chirping yesterday and Wednesday the temperature was 62 degrees!  Spring is coming - at least a sneak peek!  Colorado Spring weather can be a bit crazy but I so enjoy those brief warm days bringing the hopes of warm weather, sprouting flowers and grass getting a little greener!

I am in Colorado Springs this weekend at a crafting retreat.  The majority of those attending (26 women) are scrapbooking, but I brought my card kits with the hope to complete all of my unfinished kits!  I made a trip to a local scrapbooking store today with my friend Sherry.  The store was celebrating their 29th anniversary - that's not an easy feat for small crafting businesses these days!  Wow - I was like a kid in a candy store and of course, left a lot of cash on the counter today!  I can't wait to go scrapbooking mid April with my BFF, Yvonne, to play with my new paper crafting supplies!  I found a beautiful paper pack of Alice in Wonderland.  My mom would introduce herself in the last year as Alice in Wonderland - so I thought it was perfect to scrapbook some of the photos that I recently pulled for her memory boards.

I played with the lovely Detailed Dogwood Cling Stamp Set today and made a pretty Thank You card!  I so love this stamp set with 10 vintage like images, especially the cute little dragonfly.  I am so sad that this will be retiring in 6 days!!!

A Little Latte Card

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, February 16, 2024

Happy Friday!  How about something to warm you up on a dreary, winter day?  It's chilly today, and gray skies!  I hate gray skies in the winter in Colorado.  We are known for 245 sunny days a year!  So when the sun isn't around, it's a sad day for me - lol!  How many days of sun do you get a year where you live?  I'm guessing that I'm getting my spring fever on...

Hubby and I are anxiously awaiting our Spring cruise to the Southern Caribbean the end of March.  I'm hoping that we don't get a weird Spring blizzard that stops us from leaving.  It can snow all it wants once I'm on my way to Miami for our 12 day cruise!  Do you have plans for late winter/early spring?  I'm a little nervous as it could be Spring Break somewhere and we may be walking into some larger crowds than expected.  But it will be warm and we have so been missing the ocean.

Back to having something to warm me up today - today's card is featuring a brand new suite that will arrive on March 5 in the Online Exclusives within my Stampin' Up! Online Store.  It's called A Little Latte and I so excited to share all of the wonderful products in this new suite!  If you are a tea drinker - or maybe hot cocoa is your hot drink of choice, this is right up your alley as well!

Stippled Roses Birthday Cards

Happy Friday!  It's Friday already?  Wow!!!  How is your week going?  I looked at my planner on Monday and I think I maybe got 1/2 of what I needed to accomplish this week.  Although, I was able to create some lovely samples this week.  I'm so excited about the Perennial Lavender class this weekend.  The Perennial Lavender Suite Collection is hands down my all time favorite suite from the 2024 January - April Catalog.  I love the purples, pinks and teal greens.  If you haven't yet seen this gorgeous suite - check it out today!

I saw the orthopedic specialist yesterday - she was wonderful.  She took additional x-rays and reviewed my MRI.  Basically, I'm getting old and my parts are wearing down like an the tread on our vehicles - heavy sigh!  I turn 65 next month.  There is no way I am 65 and my parts are wearing down yet - lol!  I have osteoarthritis darn it!  Good news - no surgery yet - but eventually I will need a knee replacement.  For now though, it's PT, Tylenol/Advil, water exercising, collapsible walking sticks in my backpack and a steroid shot in my knee before our next cruise the end of March.  I'm glad we have a plan and I can't do anymore damage with simple living - lol!  I might be a bit more slower on the dance floor on the cruise lol but I'm going to make the best of the situation!

Everyday Details Cards

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, February 02, 2024

Happy Thursday!  How is your week going?  January is down and February is just beginning!  I'm looking forward to the end of the month as I am going on a Scrapbook Retreat and get to create for 5 days straight without the interruptions from home - lol!  Do you look forward to crafting retreats?  Do you get a lot done at the retreat?

I got my MRI yesterday - and now just waiting on the results to see if they can figure out what is going on with my painful knee.  I'm so frustrated as the weather was beautiful here in Frederick the last few days and I didn't feel up to walking at all.

I went live today rather than Wednesday due to my MRI  appt.  I didn't want to chance that I was running late from my appt.  I'm hoping that you were able to catch me at noon today.  I kinda like this time slot/day of the week as I have some additional time to prepare and I don't feel so rushed after a full day of quilting at my local quilting store.  I'm really enjoying sewing again at a local quilt store in Erie at their open sew days on Wednesdays.  I'm going to think hard on the timing this week and I'm really leaning towards Thursdays at noon.  Thoughts?
