Everyday Details Cards

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, February 02, 2024

Happy Thursday!  How is your week going?  January is down and February is just beginning!  I'm looking forward to the end of the month as I am going on a Scrapbook Retreat and get to create for 5 days straight without the interruptions from home - lol!  Do you look forward to crafting retreats?  Do you get a lot done at the retreat?

I got my MRI yesterday - and now just waiting on the results to see if they can figure out what is going on with my painful knee.  I'm so frustrated as the weather was beautiful here in Frederick the last few days and I didn't feel up to walking at all.

I went live today rather than Wednesday due to my MRI  appt.  I didn't want to chance that I was running late from my appt.  I'm hoping that you were able to catch me at noon today.  I kinda like this time slot/day of the week as I have some additional time to prepare and I don't feel so rushed after a full day of quilting at my local quilting store.  I'm really enjoying sewing again at a local quilt store in Erie at their open sew days on Wednesdays.  I'm going to think hard on the timing this week and I'm really leaning towards Thursdays at noon.  Thoughts?

This week's Facebook Live showcased two sweet, soft, pastel cards created with the Everyday Details Bundle and the Lighter than Air 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

I have really enjoyed creating with the Everyday Details Dies.

They make the perfect frames for card front and by using the double circle and double rectangles dies, you get another fun die cut for a sentiment or image backgound!  The simplicity of stamping an image in the center of the frame is so brillant!  I don't miss fussy cutting an image to stand out as the images seem to pop from the center!

The EveryDay Details Cling stamp set comes with three lovely images:  a pot with flowers, a sweet teacup, and a earthy nest with 3 eggs.

I played with Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends markers to give a little color to the flowers in the pot.  I used Basic Gray to stamp the image as I didn't want it to be a dark contrast on this pastel card.

I stamped the teacup with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the second card as the Fresh Freesia isn't as pastel as maybe Bubble Bath would be so I wanted it to stand out a bit more.  I colored the teacups image with Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly, Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends markers.  I liked how the highlights on the teacup just had a little color from just black on white.

Next week's Facebook Live will showcase the Stippled Roses Bundle and the Softly Stippled 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  I'll keep you updated on if I am moving to Thursdays at noon (mt).

I hope to see you for my 2024 January - April Launch Party on Saturday, 2/3 from 10am - 2pm!  If you aren't able to come, I'll have the new Retired Product online store online around 8pm on Saturday evening to get caught up from the in person shopping!  I put in my 2022 - 2024 class tutorials and Crafty Collaboration tutorials and will be shutting them off from my blog here go forward.  I'll be removing my Retired Product spreadsheets and updating the tutorials to point you to my online store on Friday, 2/2 at noon.  Please note the link to the online store will not be public until 8pm on Saturday, 2/3.  I'm hoping it will be an easier way for everyone to find past tutorials for inspiration and retired products that they are searching for to create with!

Oh yes - I had to make some technical changes to my email process based upon an upcoming Google/Yahoo security requirement.  I have a new email and I hope it will be easy for you to remember - bonnie@bonniehershfeldt.com!  Please update your email rules and/or watch your spam over the coming days!  I'm crossing my fingers that all goes as planned.

Enjoy your the rest of the week and I hope you have time to spend in your craft room and create something beautiful...

KEEP ON CRAFTING!
