By My Side Friendship Card

by Bonnie Hershfeldt, March 29, 2024

Hello Crafters - Happy Friday!  We just returned to our ship, the Princess Regal, from a resort for the day in Aruba at the RIU Palace.  It was nice to get off the ship today after leaving Galveston on Sunday, 3/24.  We enjoyed sitting by the pool, talking with a nice family from Iowa, and spending some time near the water on the beach.  It was like bath water - perfect temperature!  We enjoyed a drink at the swim up bar in the shade with the pool water very comfortable as well.  I'm so glad I found this option for us as it was a totally relaxing day of sunshine and fresh air just not on the ship!  Lol.  Off to Curacao tomorrow!

No Facebook Live this week, however, I did spend some time before we left town to make this sweet friendship card using the adorable By My Side Cling Stamp Set.

The children and puppy are perfect for those that like to color, especially with your Stampin' Blends!  I don't color enough - but sometimes a stamp set is made perfectly for that purpose.  I have been wanting to play with this stamp set every since I saw the the little boy with his puppy!  Reminds me of my two sons, Sean and David with their puppies, Shultz and Snickers.  We love our dachshunds!  They have passed over the Rainbow Bridge now, but we all have such fund memories of both of them!

The By My Side Cling Stamp Set will be retiring on 5/1/24.  It will be available while supplies last so if you like it, I would suggest purchasing it now!

I apologize as I am unable to log into Stampin' Up! this evening as my IP from the ship's Wifi is now blocked from their site - bummer.  Thus, I am unable to create direct links of the products used along with my host code for March for your shopping ease as you read along.  However, at the bottom of the blog, links are available for all of the products used to make this cute card so you can purchase from my online store via there!

I used Granny Apple Green cardstock - reminiscent of the grass at our local park where we take the boys and their dogs and let them run around to tire them out before bedtime.  I used the cross hatched 3D embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders to give the cardstock just the right amount of texture like grass.  The Stampin' Blends markers in the fabulous skin tones is perfect for making a diverse group of friends!

I won't be live next Friday either as we will be traveling home from Fort Lauderdale.  Look for me on Friday, 4/12!  I may look through my other upcoming retiring products and create one last time with them.  Maybe mix it up a bit with something new...

I hope you have a very Happy Easter sharing the rebirth with your loved ones!

KEEP ON CRAFTING!
