Hi, my name is Bonnie Hershfeldt,
and I would be delighted to share with you my love of paper crafting using Stampin' Up!® Products.
I have been paper crafting for 25 years, blessed to have a wonderful friend who introduced me to scrapbooking and then to Stampin' Up!®. I am a knitter and a quilter. All of these crafts bring me such pleasure by selecting a product, pulling together a palette of colors and creating something beautiful to share with others! The act of gifting my creation to a treasured friend or loved one, fills my heart with an abundance of joy!
My Stampin' Up!® journey began in 2017, when I became a hobby demonstrator. A hobby demonstrator is someone who joins the Stampin' Up!® family for the great discount on products and the advantages of seeing and preordering all the new products before they are released to customers.
In 2014, my husband and I moved from the sprawling city of Westminster, Colorado to the small town of Frederick, Colorado. With the closing of so many of my favorite paper crafting supply stores and nothing available locally, I began searching online for crafting supplies. While attending a scrapbooking retreat with my bestie Yvonne in Oskosh, WI in October, 2017, I met Jen Van Winkle from Lincoln, Nebraska. During dinner one evening, Jen mentioned that she was an Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator. I asked about her shopping site and shortly after I returned to my room that evening, I was online. As I flipped each beautiful page of the online catalog, I instantly fell in love with the colors, the themes, and the concept that everything was color coordinated. My first order was a big one as I was starved for new supplies. Jen explained the demonstrator sign up offer which gave me a substantial discount on that first order. Three years later, as I contemplate retirement in the next year (or maybe more due to the COVID pandemic), I thought it might be the right time to dip my toes into the water and take the next step into actually demonstrating and building a business. I held my first workshop in late February for a local crafting group and thoroughly enjoyed meeting other crafters yearning to learn how to make 4 beautiful cards.
My husband, Tom and I are both Colorado natives, growing up in the Northern suburbs of Denver. We have been married 32 years, and raised two wonderful sons, Sean and David. Both of my sons have the creative gene; one is a hobby woodworker and a fulltime Engineer, and the other is a full time visual artist in NYC and a talented Oboist and English Horn player. We all love to travel and have been fortunate to see many parts of the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, Great Britain, Europe, Mexico, Carribbean, and even India! I work full time as an IT Development Manager and am looking excitedly to retirement.
